The comparison game. We all do it.
We compare our homes, our spouses, our children, our jobs, our parenting, our appearances on a daily basis. Sometimes without realizing it and sometimes in an open manner.
The enemy wants you to measure yourself based on the worldly standards and wants you to find your identity in the things of this world. The sad truth is, once you finally reach the measurement by which the world sees you as successful, the standards have changed and you're left feeling unsatisfied, insignificant, and confused.
God's standards say you are enough! You are beautiful. You are rich. You are loved. God, himself has a purpose for each of you and when we compare our assignments to others, we are being sidetracked and convinced that our God given gifts, callings, skill sets, personalities, and fields of ministry aren't enough and we are tempted to live someone else's assignment.
My friend, don't let the enemy pull you down with the weights of this world's standards. As believers, our lives are about God's glory and loving others and this frees us from the comparison games.
But we will not boast beyond limits, but will boast only with regard to the area of influence God assigned to us to reach even you.
